isn't there a GM retro fit for the 06's?

Now my next fear will be the factory warrenty, will it void it for putting in an aftermarket system?

I checked on a remote start today at Creative Car Audio. It is an Autostart brand with a 2000 ft radious. The fob allows you to lock/unlock the doors, start the vehicle, it also has an option button to turn on the heated seats. Installed for $316 with 10% military discount. You can also still use the original fobs to lock/unlock.Has anyone ever heard of the Autostart brand? Here's the link to the exact unit:http://www.autostart.ca/prodInfo.php?alarm=0&starter=1&tw=0&prod=AS-1755v
I went to a local shop right after I bought my AV to have a remote start put in and they told me that they won't install them because the aftermarket remote starts had a history of causing fires....needless to say I didn't put one in. Anybody else hear of this? Or were they blowing smoke because they (the shop) had problems...?
I installed a BOA on my old Blazer but "Check Engine" light was always ON. I have another one for the minivan but its been sitttin' in the shelf with the rest of my mods for over a year.
