SUB and AMP HELP!!
« on: July 24, 2010, 02:48:20 PM »
Hello all!!  I'm currently deployed right now and I'm looking to add some thump to my truck but I'm getting confused on if this set up is a good idea.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220639859716&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

I was looking at this sub, amp and box combo and contacted the seller about it.  He told me that he would add this and not replace the factory speakers and it would all sound a lot better.  Now I'm not looking for no loud, blow the windows out thump.  Just a little more while trying to stay in a acceptable price range.  What are yalls take on this??  Thanks for yalls help in advance!

Sorry I was working in this 100+ degree weather this morning....   :sotired:  Looks like a nice set up. I would go for the ZX300.1 amp for a little more power but it's a nice set up for the price.....

Gotcha....  I think I will get this set up and get some new speakers along with it.  I just read your post about not buying Pioneer speakers.  Good thing too cause thats what crutchfield reccomended to me.  Thanks again.

Nope..  Unless you like ear bleeds....  if your not going to amp your door speakers then look at the Jl Audio Tr's or the Focal Acces. For the best sound with little power...Remember the head units only give 13-22 Watts Max...And most speakers want 30-75 watts RMS to produce the sound that they should.. Good and clean at any Volume..
