E85 Fuel in your 05 AV
« on: July 21, 2010, 08:20:49 PM »
Down in South Florida a few gas stations are starting to provide E85 Fuel @ 2.39 per gal. Need some feedback from current users... Is your Av drinking E85? What's the current price per gallon in your area. Are there any drawbacks, what's your MPG..

I know Donnie1 runs it every now and then. He's working nights right now so he may not get back to you until tomorrow sometime. I don't know about any others using it.

WHERE IT REALLY IS ABOUT THE FRIENDS AND AVY'S, AND NOT THE ALMIGHTY ADVERTISING DOLLAR!

In all honesty, in my opinion, it has to be about 30% cheaper then regular unleaded for it to be worth while cost wise.

Yes we use it on occasion but as said by the others, if it's not at least .40 cheaper per gallon, it isn't worth it. You do lose mpg's but there is a little more power with it since it has a higher octane rating.
Right now teh E85 here is only a few cents cheaper so I don't bother.

Are you sure your 05 can run it? I didn't think they started making Av's compatable until 06?

Bullbar, Sailpanel LED'S, Elec Tgate & Sbag Locks, Custom Decals, Ventvisors, Lund Bug Guard, Amber's, All 4 Hi FTDRL, Mag Lite/Fire Ext Mod, Headrest Monitors, bedslide
