I need some input.
« on: July 08, 2010, 09:46:07 PM »
Hey guys.

I've got a buddy that has a 2010 Silverado. He had an 08 Av but it was too expensive to buy out at the end of his lease. Anyway, he got 22's for a song and wants to put more rubber on those rims. The question is, if he puts a 2.25 in leveling kit on his truck, what's the biggest tire he can get on those rims without rubbing? The readylift website says 33's will go on it fine. I found a Hankook tire in the 325/50R22 size. Is this too much rubber to put on his truck? Will it rub?

Any input would be greatly helpful. Thanks.

Steve

Those should be almost 35" tires I believe.  A 305/45 series tire should be a bit under 33".

18x10 Forged Weld Wheels, BFG g-Force KDWs, JBA shorties, custom catback with FM70, Crane plug wires, Trailblazer Torque Converter, bigger cam, efans, HP Tuners custom tune, WAAG stuff, mildly boosted with Vortech Supercharger.......

Thanks for the input. I passed it along and he wasn't thrilled. He's looking at lifting, instead of leveling. That's going to cost a little bit more....
