No, my cladding's not chipping my paint is right above the wheels where there is no cladding. I wish I could think of a better way to describe the location. Here goes, the bumped out half moon part. Does that help?
Well we're on the right track. Not mine really either, but they look a darn sight better than chipped paint.
Not my cup of tea but i wonder if these are bushwacker flares. They dont seem to fit tho.http://rides.truckinweb.com/ride/1197177/johnvictor891/2003/chevrolet/avalanche/photos/5.html
Ok guys, check this out. After some research I'm thinking about buying the Gatorback spray cans, taping off my truck and painting the area with it. My buddy does auto body work so actually he would be doing it. I've already treated my cladding with Car Finish- Refinish Restorer so the color would match and if I'm understanding the Gatorback system, the texture would match. I think. Any comments?
What I'm talking about is painting the metal above my tires where it is blistering with the gatorback. If prepped right, will it stick to metal? Basically making my cladding look like it goes above all my wheels.
That's it. That's what I want. I saw a different truck on the web somewhere with the same look. Need more info!
Someone did. Not sure what was used tho'.
i wonder if i could cut or trim the cladding to make it flow into the fender flare... im also wondering about the metal hump above the wheel well does it sit flush agenst the body or does it have a gap at the edges...
Are you talking about where the cladding meets the fender? Does this pix help any?
Hey OBB, is it hard to take off all of the cladding?Jon
