02 Intermediate Steering Shaft.
« on: July 01, 2010, 12:55:09 PM »
I just checked my tracking number, my Intermediate Steering Shaft has been delivered!!  I purchased it from Summit Racing, P/N-RNB-425-176.  It is the Dorman brand, I've read some good things about their products.  I paid $55.90 including shipping!!

Does anyone know what the bolts get torqued to?

Thanks!

No probs!  Couldn't go wrong with the price from Summit, AutoZone wanted $74.99 (I think) for the same part.

If you don't have that little tool in the pix you can do what I did.  Move the seat forward, Pass the seat belt through the wheel and click it in the receiver, Move the seat back. That wheel isn't going to move.

I sure don't have the steering wheel lock pin, my plan is to do the seat belt thing as you did.

No probs!  Couldn't go wrong with the price from Summit, AutoZone wanted $74.99 (I think) for the same part.

I almost bought one on eBay for $53.90 including shipping. Mine isn't clunking yet so I decided I won't replace it until it starts. So it appears the Summit price is in fact pretty good.
2002 LPM Z71, factory 4.10s - Magnacharger w/3" pulley, TOG's headers, 216/224-.551/.551-115 cam/pushrods/dual springs/titanium retainers, built tranny, Yank TT2600 stall converter, 24K GVW Tru-Cool tranny cooler,  Flex-A-Lites, ProCold intake, MSD wires & TR6 plugs, 20" Panther Juice 6's, 2.8" rear lowering springs & assorted hardware, J&J Enterprises stainless grille, body-color painted taillight covers. Self-tuned with HP Tuners software.

Cracked rear bumper cover from a run-in with a deer in fall 2008!
