Klein air compressor/tank
« on: June 16, 2010, 02:53:45 PM »
I bought the omega train horns and unfortunately can't use the tank that came with the system.  I am thinking about buying the klein compressor and tank to use with the omega horns.  Is the Klein compressors any good?   I am looking for the small tank that holds 3 liters of air.

When I was shopping around for horns, I did see the klein compressors a bunch.  It is either 1.)they are good 2.)they are getting them cheap

chadstr has a klein for his horns and he bought his after mine, so it should fit into storage compartment.

New problem with my setup.  If I go with the Klein compressor, they use 1/4" tubing, and Omega horn uses 1/2" tubing.  I believe I'll need some kind of npt reducer or something?  :dunno:

Go with an upsize kit. 1/4" tubing on a horn would sound like crap.

Emailed Klein waiting on response back as to what i'm gonna do.  I fear it is not gonna work out.  Seems like the majority I do to my AV doesn't work out the way I want to.

Are you reading from the compressor to tank, because that should not matter.  You need to get the outlet fitting size on the tank.

The horn is gonna get air from the tank, the compressor simply fills the tank.
