Want to trade train horn compressor
« on: June 14, 2010, 04:00:06 PM »
I bought the Omega Train horns and they have redesigned the tank/compressor.  Mine won't fit in the saddle bag.  I want to trade for a slender tank if anyone is interested.  Someone who doesn't care about placement.

That's who I bought from and he has checked around and can't find anything.  I'm SOL.

Damn, well I know my compressor won't fit in a saddlebag. It's a 5 gal tank.   Hell, mount it up above the spare. I've seen that done before.

I was thinking about maybe building a bracket out of angled aluminum and a plate to help with road debris and mount it on right side behind rear tire to frame.  But with my luck it won't work and I'm afraid exhaust heat will hurt the tank.  I am a worryward when it comes to stuff like this.

I got mine from Oveido, and it was a very tight fit, but I got mine to fit in the saddlebag.

You will need to take off the cover for the saddlebag, and take off the "latch" as well, then pretty much jam it in there....

OBB - you should remember helping me with that S.O.B....   lol

We put the tank in at Hugz last March so it's been over a year. How long he had it before then, I don't know.

I may have only had it a month before we put it in...  not too long.   I showed it off at the Mastori's GTG in Feb, and it was all still in the box then...

Does your tank look like this?  This is not my pic, but one I found that is similiar to what I have.  The tank is now fatter.  The old style is skinny and a little longer.
