I believe you can use the diagnostics function for any vehicle, not just the one the programmer is married to.

I think I mentioned that.
I was talking about YOUR programmer. I know for certain you can use the Predator programmers to scan for OBDII codes on more than just the vehicle it's married to.
Getting info from their site (http://www.actron.com/search_results.php?textfield=actron+9185&submit=Search&type[]=3) it appears that this tool is capable of working on more than one vehicle versus have a programmer like myself that gets VIN locked to a specific vehicle. It appears that it has many functions but I have never used one nor do I know anyone that has one.
