Is this the code readers found at autozone and such?  If so, i wouldnt mind having one of these.

Getting info from their site (http://www.actron.com/search_results.php?textfield=actron+9185&submit=Search&type[]=3) it appears that this tool is capable of working on more than one vehicle versus have a programmer like myself that gets VIN locked to a specific vehicle. It appears that it has many functions but I have never used one nor do I know anyone that has one.

WHERE IT REALLY IS ABOUT THE FRIENDS AND AVY'S, AND NOT THE ALMIGHTY ADVERTISING DOLLAR!

I believe you can use the diagnostics function for any vehicle, not just the one the programmer is married to.

I've not heard anything bad about the Actron units but I don't have any personal experience with them either. You've got to figure if they were bad that you would have read or heard about them somewhere on an auto enthusiast's site.

You can learn to run a website but you can't learn to program your truck?  :winkani: I do understand; I've been using HPT for over a year now and still only think I learned the very basic stuff. I really need to spend some time with someone to show me the ropes.

I was talking about YOUR programmer. I know for certain you can use the Predator programmers to scan for OBDII codes on more than just the vehicle it's married to.
