Indiana Snow.....
« on: February 06, 2007, 02:13:17 PM »
It is February and we are getting our first snowstorm! We have had a little here and there but nothing to speak of till today. We are getting over a inch a hour, some places 2" per hour! They started off saying 3" to 5" but now are saying that some places will get 8" or more. My son plows snow and he called about 2PM and ask if I would trey to find why I-69 was closed, he had been setting out there in stopped traffic for 45 min. I checked and they had 4 accidents within just a few mile stretch just north of Indy. It's purtty, but I am glad I don't have to get out in it, no I am not going out to take a picture!!!

Didit, hope you stay safe out there on the roads!

It's about time someone else got some. We've been under feet of the stuff for like eight weeks and the novelty has now worn off!

I know, it's been all around us, some BIG snows. Somehow they all missed us SO FAR. I just went out and cleaned of the walk and a little place for the dogs to use the potty, you know how those short legged dogs are when it comes to going out in bad weather don't you?

It was the LIGHTEST driest show I have ever seen! Wish I had a leaf blower, I could clean the whole yard in just a  few MIN!!!

All is good Butch, thanks, was in Jasper when it started snowing about 10:30 I had four stops to go, within 30 minutes the streets were snowed over, and people were sliding all over the place, took it easy going across 50 to 37, all the way from Bedford to Indy went no faster than 45, ugh, when I got on 465 lol go figure some butt heads were doin better than 60 and you couldn't even see the lane markings, idiots!!!  Took me an hour to get home which is normally a 17 minute drive, so not to bad, better than last Dec 2005 sheeeeesh.

Holy cow! I just cleaned the ice off of my driveway (garage to be) and it was about five inches thick all the way across. Lets see the leaf blower to handle that! We have been  using four wheel drive to get in and out of the driveway all winter! :needhug:

Cryin' shame I can't loan you mine. It's pretty much worthless in Colorado these days!
