I've got a pix of how to do it under the fuse box somewhere. I'll try to dig it up this weekend. Like A_A said. you just have to ground a wire and I'm trying to remember which one. There is also a wire you move in the fuse box to give you full time DRLs. It all can be done in about 15 mins.
I keep meaning to do the one from under the green connector in the underhood location, When in there I may even do the diode mod for fogs on with highs. Good luck!!
Under the fuse box is also where I've moved the wire for the full time DRLS on the '02s. There's a bolt right under the fuse box that I run the ground to for the all on high mod. Takes about 8" of wire and a wire loop connector to go under the bolt. The full time fogs is also under there by placing a diode between 2 wires.
Let's try this one. I added a couple of pictures of the "ground the yellow wire at the headlight" version of the mod.
Your pix are prettier than mine. This looks to be the easiest way to achieve the lows with highs. do the fogs stay on also using the fog switch with this method?
I've been working with digital cameras and pictures for a LONG time - you were probably still in middle school. The first digital camera I used was a Logitech black & white camera that was fixed focus. It overexposed all the pictures with the flash and didn't shoot straight. I had to tape off half of the flash and figure out had to point 6" left and 6" below where I actually wanted the picture to take! I haven't had a look at the schematics for the fogs. I wonder if they wouldn't be different since they go off when the hi beams turn on. I've never even thought to look at my fogs to see if they stay on with the all 4 on hi (in the underhood fusebox) mod. I'm guessing they are actually tied into the hi beams and that they therefore don't stay on.
