Topic: Body lift with Grille Guard

I have a Go Rhino grille guard and was looking into a 3" PA body lift.  I know that once I put on the lift that I will initially lose the original mounting points for the grille guard.  Anyone have any experience with a body lift and grille guard combination?  Where I might be able buy a modified mounting brackets or someone that has had one fabricated?  Thanks!

It would be a simple matter of fabricating extension brackets to move the mounting points down 3" further than on the current brackets and welding the extensions onto the current brackets. Any machine shop could easily fab something like this up.

Always the voice of reason you are Joe!  The reason I ask is that I am being told that the tow hooks brackets are not usable with a body lift, which is the main load bearing point of attachment for the grille guard.

I'm not sure how it is on a WBH ( I know, big help) but on my cladded I lost the tow hooks until I get the balls to trim the front bumper.

you can reuse the hooks also. I never believe anyone who said it cant be done..... switch them left to right and invert. you may need to drill a new hole but all is good when modding. or weld in a D ring or something better!

Nope--no winch!!  After I get the rack on the back, I'm almost at a breaking point on the mods for now.  I'm liking her as she is!!

After all the trouble I went to to get a bracket fabricated to make it fit with a body lift, I'm thinking about selling the grille guard and the matching taillight guards.  If anyone knows of someone with a WBH with a 3" body lift that might want these, just send them my way.  Will probably let them go at a reasonable price because I need to fund my gear change!!
