resonator???
« on: March 06, 2010, 10:41:05 PM »
I'm thinking of getting either a 50 series or a 40 series Flowmaster muffler put on my Avalanche.  My question is, to those of you who have done this, did you leave the stock resonator on your exhaust?  The reason i ask is because a friend of mine just had a 50 series put on his 2009 Ram Hemi.  First he had the muffler put on and noticed no difference in the sound at all.  So they cut off the resonator and welded some pipe in its place and now it sounds like it should.  Is this usually how it's done?

Remove the resonator or you won't be happy.  With the resonator, you won't hear much difference at all after installing a new muffler.

If you were to get serious about exterminating your cricket, you may be more familiar with your truck, LOL!
