I recently heard about the E3's and keep forgetting to do my research on them. Supposedly they give you a nice increase in MPG.And just how the hell did you get that many miles on it when you're never home to drive it???
I've read mixed results about the E3s, with probably more negative than positive.
I had a set. Put a few thousand miles on them. From the seat of the pants, didn't notice an improvement over the NGK TR55s I'd been running, or any change in fuel mileage. After getting the SES light coming on due to misfire codes, I changed back to the TR55s and the misfires went away. I'm probably due for a change. Will probably due the TR55s again. They are supposed to be good for about 60,000 miles, but I've put way more on them than that.
Looks like my research is complete now. Guess I'll pester my brother about that free set from Autolite he said he'd get me. Just can't talk him out of a free turbo though.
