I recently heard about the E3's and keep forgetting to do my research on them. Supposedly they give you a nice increase in MPG.

And just how the hell did you get that many miles on it when you're never home to drive it???

I let my friends drive her I'd say 80% is from them. IT just got back from mobile al. That was around a 1500 mile trip. AND while it was gone I rented a cobalt.

I've read mixed results about the E3s, with probably more negative than positive.
2002 LPM Z71, factory 4.10s - Magnacharger w/3" pulley, TOG's headers, 216/224-.551/.551-115 cam/pushrods/dual springs/titanium retainers, built tranny, Yank TT2600 stall converter, 24K GVW Tru-Cool tranny cooler,  Flex-A-Lites, ProCold intake, MSD wires & TR6 plugs, 20" Panther Juice 6's, 2.8" rear lowering springs & assorted hardware, J&J Enterprises stainless grille, body-color painted taillight covers. Self-tuned with HP Tuners software.

Cracked rear bumper cover from a run-in with a deer in fall 2008!

I had a set.  Put a few thousand miles on them.  From the seat of the pants, didn't notice an improvement over the NGK TR55s I'd been running, or any change in fuel mileage.  After getting the SES light coming on due to misfire codes, I changed back to the TR55s and the misfires went away.  I'm probably due for a change.  Will probably due the TR55s again.  They are supposed to be good for about 60,000 miles, but I've put way more on them than that.

18x10 Forged Weld Wheels, BFG g-Force KDWs, JBA shorties, custom catback with FM70, Crane plug wires, Trailblazer Torque Converter, bigger cam, efans, HP Tuners custom tune, WAAG stuff, mildly boosted with Vortech Supercharger.......

Looks like my research is complete now. Guess I'll pester my brother about that free set from Autolite he said he'd get me. Just can't talk him out of a free turbo though.

I'm not getting your link to work, but I would guess a shop would charge about an hour of labor to change the plugs and wires.

is it wise to have stainless wrappings on plug wires?

I bought a set of the E3's then realized they were made in China.
Not sure what to do with them.
I may try them out..

I am a huge fan of the MSD superconductor wires.
I don't have them on my truck yet, but they are on my Conquest.
Here is a link to the ones for the 1500 Avalanche
http://www.shopatron.com/products/productdetail/part_number=32829/424.0.0.0.0.0.0
My Conquest is turbo charged and I run about 17psi boost which is twice stock levels.
I used to have problems with spark blow out until I started running the MSD wires.
'04 Silver Birch Metallic 2500 loaded!  :-)
Amber DRL's, Brake Controller, Mag-Lite Mod
Magna Flow Exhaust, Air Lift on rear, tailgate torsion bar, rearview camera, Rear headrest mod.
Wig-Wag and Full time DRL's
