Forever Black
« on: February 23, 2010, 06:38:24 AM »
Has anyone tried Forever Black?  I was reading a detailing site and it is popular for bed liners so I thought it would be good for cladding.  It is a bit more cost effective than RR.  It may give a darker finish also.  It figures that I read this the day after orderingn RR.   banghead1

I havn't used it so I can't comment. I know some products that go on will run when it rains so I have a tendency to stay away from them.

I just went and read the ad in the link. It states that one 4oz bottle should be enough to do two cars. I'm guessing one bottle may do 1 to 1 1/2 bed panels. I didn't see a price per bottle but I would think You'd need at least 3 bottles to do the Avy one time and that's if you don't have lower cladding.

OK, now I went back and gound the price. $11 a bottle plus shipping unless you can find it locally but then you're paying sales tax. One can of RR is a little over $50 shipped to your house and I've done several avy's with one can and still have over 1/2 a can left.

If you get it and try it out, post up the results as to how much you used and how well it lasted.

WHERE IT REALLY IS ABOUT THE FRIENDS AND AVY'S, AND NOT THE ALMIGHTY ADVERTISING DOLLAR!
