Hello Everyone!

New to the group, and wanted to say hello.  I have owned my Avalanche since the day they rolled it on to the showroom floor in 2002.

I have 150k miles on it, and i am looking to do a project rebuild on it this year to harden it as my primary bug-out vehicle.  The vehicle is pretty much a stock Z71 with the front bumper grill guard and side rails.

Any suggestions you all can throw my way would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Manny

Welcome to the mad house brotha!! Theirs plenty of options you can do to your truck! Hit up the tech articles and get some ideas. A lot of use have the amber DRL lights and the all 4 on high mod. If you wanna do some off roading I suggeste a lift or leveling keys. If you have any questions just do a little search or just ask!! Were always willing to help out!

Thanks to you both for your suggestions.  Yes, the lift is at the top of the list.  I am looking at an air bag suspension that could be adjusted for those tight situations . . .  Any one currently using this type of a setup?

Thanks,

Manny

What's up everybody? Im a new Avalanche owner and member to the forum. I just bought my truck today and have already started making additions. Not going to go crazy on mods or anything but I have a few more things to do over the next couple of years to get the truck looking the way I would like. Hoping to find some inspiration and suggestions from fellow avalanche owners.

:welcome: aboard. Love the look of the wheels. One thing you can do cheap and easy is change out your DLRs to Ambers so others will notice you. Another is to paint that lower fascia on the front bumper to match the top. I have no idea why Chevy made those plastic parts two different colors

I'am definitely going to paint the front bumper at some point. Getting the front windows tinted this afternoon and hopefully have the exhaust system on it sometime in March. I would also like to gator back the cladding as it is pretty faded. Lot's to do but I'm going to do it a little at a time so the wife will let me sleep somewhere other than the couch!

Oops. I posted in this thread second.  :evil5:

Anyway, those that have been around to GTGs in Tennessee, Alabama or Kentucky between 2004-2006, might remember me. <insert waving smilie here> Hi! Long time no see!

For those that don't know me, I'm David, aka Taz. I'm Trubble's other half & we live in Lafayette, Tennessee. Trub's pride & joy is a 2004 Arrival Blue cladded Z-71. I was/am hoping to be an Av owner, instead of just a passenger, but since my injury at the 2005 New Year's GTG we've had a few bumps in the road on my path to make us a 2 AV family. We still have that dream, but just slow getting there due to my previously poor health & this wonderful economy. Anyway, I'm better now & ready to rock!
