The First Indiana GTG of 2007!
« on: January 25, 2007, 04:38:00 PM »
Come on out and meet our new members. We have two new member who are wanting to have a GTG so it's time to set one up. Did you get any new mods for Christmas? Done something to your Avalanche that you want to show off? Want to just hang out and talk Avalanches? Come on out to O'Charley's in Fishers Indiana!

What: First Indiana Eat & Greet of 2007

When: February 10th 1PM (come a little early if it's not to cold, we like to hang out in the lot and talk Avalanches)
REMINDER: We are on Eastern Time with daylight savings in effect!

Where: O'Charley's in Fishers, exit 5 off of I 69

Why: To meet new members and enjoy our Avalanches!!!

Our Eat & Greets are always family friendly so bring the wife & kids if you care to. You will learn a lot about your Avalanche and maybe even see some mods that you can not live without! Some members have done amazing things to their Avalanche! We usually hang out in the lot and look the Avalanches over and then talk a little truck talk before heading in to O'Charley's for lunch. A member's wife is the manager there and they always take good care of us! I am starting the list of attending members, get on that list.

 1. Z66 Butch & jomomma
 2. The Mox + Kathleen + maybe his brother.
 3. Shels Land
 4. Sirshopolot + 1
 5. 87iroc5.7
 6. sir stone BPS + A WHOLE LOT OF OTHER AVLANCHES (we hope)
 7. GoldBowTie (if the Colts Win the SuperBowl)!
 8. DidIt & Lu
 9. 07BlackLTZ.
10. HogWash02
11. Bocefus78
12. Strobin
13. Northface_no more
14. cdwpowerhouse
15. WANABE + 1
16. dman
17. Sirshopolot's coworker
18. EarthQuake
10. yellowz71

ATTENTION:

We did get some snow on Tuesday but the roads are clear and no other bad weather is expected! Dress warm it will be cold! Because of the cold, we may not be out in the lot so when you come inside tell the hostess that you are with The Chevy Avalanche Club. Jomomma and GoldBowTie will have photo albums for you to look at. These have many great pictures of our past GTG's and include MANY great pictures of Avalanches. I will bring a few CD's of past GTG's that I will give away. I would like a couple members to bring their laptop into O'Charley's to play them, who can do this?  Make sure that your battery is charged, I don't know if they have electricity that we can use.

O'Charley's are great hosts and their food is moderately priced. You can get anything from ribs to burgers to steaks to chicken. I can recommend the Steak Tips Monterey! You can view their MENU HERE. They will save a room for us that seats 50 people, lets FILL THAT ROOM UP!!

I had talked about touring a Automotive Museum after lunch. I checked with them and they close at 4PM, that would not allow enough time after we eat and cruise up to Kokomo. Instead of the cruise to Kokomo if there is some interest after lunch we will cruise around a lake. I have a route planned and it should take less than a hour. We will end the cruise right back at exit 5 on I-69 so you can find your way back home! If you need to head right home after lunch, we understand but if you would like to cruise with us you are welcome! See the map below and if you have FRS radios tune to channel 8 for this cruise.

I want to make sure that everyone understands that anyone who has a interest in the Chevy Avalanche is invited. You do not need to be a club member, own a Avalanche or fulfill any other requirements to attend. If you have a co-worker, neighbor, friend or family member who likes the Avalanche invite them to attend! This is the way we will grow the club. I put this event in FISHERS FIND, it is a online newspaper for Fishers Indiana. Click on the calendar to read the announcement. I do this for most events that we hold and have from time to time draw new members to an event.

Won't you be next?

See you there, Butch

OK, I put everyone that replied on the other site on the list except BlueDevil, he has to get permission from his wife.....  :sucks:

If we get the out-of-towners and the weather is OK maybe we will cruise the circle again! I sure hope some of our new members show up, they are the one who started all of this! :worship:

Remember this will be the first GTG that Kathleen has been to since her major surgery. Lets welcome her back!!  :thumb:

GO COLTS!

with apologies to DCA!

Sure, the Address is:

11655 Fishers Corner Blvd.
Fishers, IN

Fishers is on the north side of Indianapolis at Exit 5 off of I-69. You would turn right at the light at McDonalds then Right again at Steak & Shake and follow the road to O'Charleys!

Can I put you on the list yet?   :thumb:
Here is a little map, it is easy to find!

If there are members coming from the north that would like to cruise down with other members, click my banner. Here is a quote from tos.

"Is anyone coming from NE Indiana, traveling South on I-69? There are two of us hopefully coming from SW Michigan and will be coming down that way to get to the GTG. Convoy???"

See you there!

Waiting to see if Northface is going and then I'll see if they want to cruise down, maybe Hogwash will join since we're gonna take I65 most of the way down.

Butch

Waiting to see if Northface is going and then I'll see if they want to cruise down, maybe Hogwash will join since we're gonna take I65 most of the way down.
Won't that set off your Lo-jac?

I will be at the GTG but I'm not in charge of the decals, so I won't have any to sell unless you want to buy my rear window with decal already installed

You can just order your MAC Decal HERE

I need 2-3 members to bring their laptop with a fully charged battery into O'Charley's
I have 3 different CD picture shows of past GTG's that I would like to run for some of the new members. I have a few of the CD's that I will give away at the GTG. If someone has a CD burner in their laptop and wants to bring a few blank CD-R's you can make other copies.........If you can bring your laptop let me know!

Thanks, Butch

I had mine done today. I took it through the best "drive through" wash we have. I don't like to use them and did have a place that was hand washing it for me in the winter but they have closed up. Anyway I got the "full detail", they pull it to the side and clean the inside and dry it a lot better that just driving through, not perfect but it looks good for now.........

See you tomorrow,
