Yep they are dark, Gene said I could use them as welding glasses. Or view a solar eclipse through them. We do have a friend that owns a autobody shop. Maybe he can help?

sorry if i buzzed up in this old topic, i just want to share my experience about the taillight and taillight cover. i also installed the tinted taillight into my car. and guess what, it was super dimmer. so what i did into the tinted taillight? i dumped it. and call back my friend who sold that accessory to me. and we had fight regarding that issue. LOL..

Not bad man. Kinda dark tho'.
ya think so? at night they look perfect and on (shady/cloudy) days im sure they will be fine during the day... they were visible during the day aswell but of course they were dimmed.. maybe the flash from my camera is making them darker then what they reall ar?

When you look at the tail light directly, you'll notice an outline inside the lense. Use it to mask it.
masking tape, bright flashlight, and a sharp exacto knife
