Getting ready for duck season in MO!!!!!
« on: November 05, 2009, 10:39:58 AM »
Duck season has opened here in MO!!!!  I've been wanting a different coat, something with a little less bulk.  I currently have a 3 in 1 wader length coat which is nice but it's a little bulky and a little too warm for some of those warmer days in the blind.  See the attachment of my new purchase!!     This is a very nice Drake Waterfowl MST (Mid Season Technology) fleece lined pullover with several pockets.  I had 3 $25 gift cards I received for my birthday and they were burning a hole in my pocket so I decided to spend them!!!  I'm not sure I would have made this purchase if I didn't have the gift cards, $110.00 seems a little steep but the pullover is pretty awesome!!!

That does seem a little steep for a pullover but if that's what you wanted, it's all good.

Did you do any teal hunting? I know the season is pretty early. I've got a buddy that's a big waterfowl hunter; that's all he does from the time the season opens until it closes. He's invited me to go for the past 5 or 6 years but I've never made it. It always seems like I've just got too many things going on to make it. I hate to pay for a duck stamp, hunting license, shells, and waders just for one hunt. However, it would be a good excuse to buy a new shotgun.............................................

Nah, it's not going to happen. All of my mod money this year is going towards fininshing the Avalanche. DanV shipped the cam & accessories today so I expect it will arrive Monday. I'm working on buying his 3" pulley; I decided I may want the next size smaller pulley since I'll be losing a couple of psi of boost with the cam install. Sorry for the threadjack; you may now return to your thread and discussion of ruthlessly murdering innocent waterfowl!  :winkani:
2002 LPM Z71, factory 4.10s - Magnacharger w/3" pulley, TOG's headers, 216/224-.551/.551-115 cam/pushrods/dual springs/titanium retainers, built tranny, Yank TT2600 stall converter, 24K GVW Tru-Cool tranny cooler, Hooker Max-Flow muffler, Flex-A-Lites, ProCold intake, MSD wires & TR6 plugs, 20" Panther Juice 6's, 2.8" rear lowering springs & assorted hardware, J&J Enterprises stainless grille, body-color painted taillight covers. Self-tuned with HP Tuners software.

Cracked rear bumper cover from a run-in with a deer in fall 2008!

Like I said, if it wasn't for having the three $25 gift cards I may not have made the purchase?  Did I say it is pretty damn nice??
I didn't teal hunt this year, I had way too much stuff going on, baseball & soccer kept me on my toes with not much time for anything else.  I won't make it to the river until 11/21.  Had to swap weekends with the ex wife so I could make it out for opening weekend of deer season.  A new shotgun would be nice!!!  I would love to have the Winchester SX3 but my Mossberg 935 auto is pretty nice and much cheaper!!!!!!
No problem with the thread jacking, keep us all posted on the cam upgrade!!!!

Here ducky, ducky, ducky!!!!   :gun:
