New Box - Wondering If anyone has tried it?
« on: December 06, 2009, 08:30:41 PM »
Check out this box and let me know if anyone you know has one.  I'm wanting to put in two Kicker L7 12's.  I looking at this box because my other option in the JL Audio Stealth Box which is about $2000....... where this one is only $520 w/o speakers.  I'm just looking for some advise, and was hoping someone had this box or one made by this company.  Just trying to be wise with my cash and get the best bang for the buck.  Any help would be great.

Well you have pros and cons on both boxes.
Sound quality, The JL is a sealed box which would give you a Tighter bass and sound good with any music. A ported box will be louder but it is tuned to a certain note. So it will sound good at that note and not at others.  What type of music are you listening to?

Build quality on both are good.

Being able to flip down the midgate, The JL will and this box will not. To some people this is important. I for one when I had the JL in my past Av I could still fit my ATV in the back with the box folded and the tailgate shout and that's with a 4wd Honda.

The kicker subs you are looking at do pound are not made for Sound quality so if you are into House,Rap and stuff like that then this box would be good for you. But if you are into more Pop,Rock,Jazz and other kind of music I would stay with the JL's.

I hope this helps....
