depends on how deep your pockets are bro... if you can afford 26's and you dont mind losing some ride quality get them... but when i roll on my 24's in the winter time its a big ride quality difference. but either way you cant lose... i would go 24's cause the tires are cheap to replace and you can still fit on most racks to get a alignment.... with the wheels i got that aint happening. i have to cheap wheels then go to the shop... its a pain... and you will regret catching a flat on some 26's.... at the minimum you will spend 425 for one tire installed if you got a hookup lol...

Hell, why limit yourself...you can jam some 30s in there (j/k)....the guys in Ballerz Inc. car club managed to pull it off if you're thinking about trying....

Whatever you decide, just remember the bigger the wheel, the smaller your tire will be, and the ride will not be very smooth.  As you progress up, you will feel that much more bumps in the road because the rubber between your wheel and the road is smaller.

My Mom's AV has 22s and it rides a lot better than mine on 24s, plus I don't encounter front rubbing when driving her AV when I do sharp turns.  I get a little rubbing with my wheels.

I run 24x10 on 295/35R24 tires
Mom's AV runs on 22x9 on 305/40R22

You can check out http://www.tirewheelsdepot.com; they have a good selection at decent prices.  Good luck.  :goodstuff:

yeah the ballerz inc guys are great... i meet them at sema.... i had my truck there at the lexani display. that avy is awesome... it has to much stuff done to it for my taste but its still bad azz. he sold me some stuff for my avy also. and his avy is actually for sale on ebay ... i believe he has been trying to sale it for awhile. the asking price is 45k. he has about 100k plus in it.  and blue devil you are right those rotors arent stock... i installed the same rotors on my truck to stop my 28's... and they stop very nicely but they still look tiny in the rims lol.

If the CTS guys can run 22s then Av guys can run the 30s!

My personal preference is no larger than the 20s that are on my Z71. It already rides considerably stiffer than it did stock. I can't imagine what the ride would be like on 26s or larger. I'm not so much about the "show" as the "go", though.  :winkani:

And stasis.....you kill me.......24s are cheap!  2funny I guess they are, relatively speaking, but I put a whole set of V-speed rated tires on my truck for $640 mounted, road-force balanced, lifetime rotation, and road hazard warranty included.
2002 LPM Z71, factory 4.10s - Magnacharger w/3" pulley, TOG's headers, 216/224-.551/.551-115 cam/pushrods/dual springs/titanium retainers, built tranny, Yank TT2600 stall converter, 24K GVW Tru-Cool tranny cooler, Hooker Max-Flow muffler, Flex-A-Lites, ProCold intake, MSD wires & TR6 plugs, 20" Panther Juice 6's, 2.8" rear lowering springs & assorted hardware, J&J Enterprises stainless grille, body-color painted taillight covers. Self-tuned with HP Tuners software.

Cracked rear bumper cover from a run-in with a deer in fall 2008!

in the world of aftermarket rims 24's are affordable to the average guy. if you complain about tire prices... well rims arent for you. and if you are more about go then show.... you got the wrong truck you need a srt10 ram ....cause avalanche is more about ultility and show ... i have never seen a fast avalanche in my life. but to each its own... thats why we live in america we all got choices. :welcome:

What he said! Check my siggy; I don't think an SRT10 would be any faster than my truck.
