Yeah I went on their website and entered my VIN and it gave a whole explanation and pretty much said "sorry your s@#*s not gonna work anymore" they did say you could adapt the 03-04s but not the 02s(not sure why not) Now if you could retrofit a unit from a later model I dont know?As far as the HU i've got an Alpine ida-x303 out of my S2k, and yeah ive got a harness and Ant adapter just didnt want to buy the ON* adapter if i didnt need it
Nice HU! I purchased everything from Crutchfield, the only parts I used were the HU, harness to connect from the HU to the factory wiring and the ant adapter/extension. I did not use any OnStar harness and I have all my chimes, etc... I soldered both harnesses instead of crimping. If you are still going through the factory amp you will need to cut the pink wire from the OnStar harness that is connected to the back of the factory HU and connect it to the blue wire from your new HU harness, if you don't you wont have any sound. Good luck and let me know if you need anything else.
Awesome! I was unsure about the chimes!! And I had not heard anything about the pink wire thanks!!
