Thanks, glad to be here.  I found this sight and it helped me decide to get my Avalanche.  i just picked it up yesterday.  i found a victory red 03' Z66 in perfect shape and i love it!  i had always thought the AV was a nice ride but until i test drove it i didn't know i would love it so much.  this sight really has a lot of useful info and I'm sure i will ask a lot of questions when i learn a little more about what i want to do with the 03'.

I do have one question already.    I'm am not very good with the internet and this is the first descussion group i have posted to so i'm sure this has been talked about and is somewhere in the threads, sorry i just don't know how to find it yet.  What is the stuff i see in the pictures on the home page where you make the plastic parts look new and black?

There is "Gatorback",....expensive, and folks with the 02-06 used it under warranty.  The new 07 and up AV dont have the fading problem.


For us folks that dont want to pay an arm and a leg,   we use "Refinish Restorer".  http://www.chevyavalancheclub.com/index.php/topic,5173.0.html

INDYCOP, if you should see say a yellow AV, with aftermarket hood, wheels, front and rear bumper guards, a yellow smiley face bow-tie, etc., around Indy going maybe a little too fast, I'd appreciate it if you could give a brother a little break.   

























I'm only saying this because the wife's borrowed the AV and is up in Indy today.
