New Tires and Wheels
« on: August 23, 2009, 08:14:33 PM »
:blink1: all right, winter is coming so I am looking at new tires and wheels. I currently have the stock rims on my 02 AV, the tires are old wranglers.
I'm thinking General Grabber HTS's 275/70R17, but want to get the truck lower.
Give me some recommendations on bigger rims? lower profile tires? Good rating and great in snow and ice. Indy is nasty in January and February. I really would like a wider street tire.
Thanks,
Kevin

I use 285/50/20

My goodyear GT II tires 285/50 handle good on snow but picks up every single piece of gravel off the road.  The ticking sound can be annoying.
