Topic: October 24th Haunted Tunnel Road Rally

OK - time to start planning for fall activities.  This is an event for all of us not going to STI this year.

An oufit called Scenic Road Rallys out of Sunman, Indiana puts on scenic road rallys throughout the spring, summer and fall.  Most are open to anyone interested, although they do put on some for owners of specific vehicles such as Jeeps, Porsches, etc.  I caught a link to them a while back while looking at an Indiana State Park's web site - many of their rallys are tied into the Indiana State Parks.

Back in the spring when this first caught my eye, I printed out descriptions of many of their rallys planned for 2009, and this Haunted Tunnel one caught Minor One's eye.  (She's into spooky halloween stuff.)  The other night she told me we needed to sign up for this.  She called today and found out that so far no one has signed up for this rally.  (They have a limit on how many vehicles they have in an outing.)

So, it sounds like a cool get together for a car club around halloween.  If we have fun with this, and enough are interested, we could probably get them to do a special Avalanche rally in 2010.

Note in the above link that the cost is $35 if pre-registered, $45 day of the rally.  Also note that you will need to bring your valid drivers license and proof of insurance.  No pets (sorry Didit, Lu, Butch and Jomamma) or alcohol.

I guess I forgot to mention where this would be, although you can find it in the link.

The starting point will be near Seymour, Indiana.  Seymour is in southern Indiana, on I-65, I'm guessing about halfway between Indy and Louisville.

OBB, I'd give you a couch, but I live nearly 2 hours from Seymour, on the opposite side from you.

I'll keep that in mind if it can possibly fall into place. We still have a lot of traveling to do yet this fall.
