Finally got around to installing my e-fans (with minor electrical burns to fingers

), put in Spectre CAI so now my hood is fully functional, and installed a chrome 200 amp alternator bought from strobin way too long ago! It all works great together!

Very nice Jeff!!!! You will absolutely love the e-fan mod, this had to be one of the best mods I've done!!! Is that the Flex-a-lite set up?

Not sure where he got them but I think they are off a Denali? I helped a friend of mine work on his 2000 or 01 Yukon XL Denali and his engine had the same covers except his were not painted.

If I remember correctly i looked up engine covers on TOS and they were from JP Customs a great site partner . 3 piece set about $200

yep! i love it,cooler A/C and more giddyup on the gas.

i revised my previous post to you earlier, i remembered getting them from looking at the threads about engine covers on TOS. i got them through JP Customs a site partner(unfort. no longer) so maybe my first recollection of googling for them is still your best bet!

Hell, I can't even remember the name of the manufacturer. Samco sounds right. not sure what all colors they come in though.

Heck, you're an eye DR, just tell everyone that they're color blind and they're already purple

Nope, it's got an engine cover on it that it doesn't need, if it had the correct blower - a Maggie - on top of it.

(Maybe I'd better not start down that path with the "boss" - he might ban me forever!).

BTW, Jeff, the Spectre CAI and the FAL look awfully familiar. I think I saw both of them on someone else's trucks back a few weeks ago! It's looking good.

yeh i took chevyfan's advice and bought the spectre,really like it!
