Train horns are a project that shouldn't be done at a GTG like Bratfest. Time consuming and it takes away from the socializing. I did my Jimi's last year while we were there and those can be done. SPL's shouldn't be too bad. I don't plan on doing anything to mine this year. Last year I don't think I spent more than an hour total socializing and I'd like to do a little more of that this year.

IF I attend, the Hypertech would be NO PROBLEM to do at a gtg.

18x10 Forged Weld Wheels, BFG g-Force KDWs, JBA shorties, custom catback with FM70, Crane plug wires, Trailblazer Torque Converter, bigger cam, efans, HP Tuners custom tune, WAAG stuff, mildly boosted with Vortech Supercharger.......

I'll try and get out there and we can do yours and Darren's lights before then. Hopefully within the first couple of weeks in aug. I go to dayshift Aug 4 so it would either need to be an evening or weekend. Of course I have to get the lights on order first.

Not planning on modding ours Ginas this year.

Wig wags a d the torsion bar shouldn't be to time consuming.

I'm thinking mod time should be from about 10 to 1, with lunch at 1pm and socializing after lunch. Don't bring a hammock for an after lunch nap, that could be dangerous. :evil5:

I didn't think they would.

I like that idea, maybe this should be a GTG rule to stick by?  While I think the modding is awesome I also think these GTG's should be about meeting new folks or hanging out with old friends with a cold beverage of your choice!!!!!

I agree.

I also like the idea of a 10 to 1 mod session and then socialize.
I say bring the mods and let's see what can get done.
If it doesn't get done, just bring them back home........or you can just leave them with me and I'll try them out on my truck and let you know if they are any good.

So can anybody attending install train horns, LED sail panels (if not installed by then), program with a HyperTech programmer, install jimmi jammers?    I need help because I'm a modding idiot  :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2: banghead1 banghead1 banghead1 :needhug: and have a stack of undone mods

 :dunno: :dunno:

:badidea: for me to attempt ANY mods after my infamous tail light fiasco.    banghead1 banghead1 banghead1

I am not a guru on these installations, but I am more than willing to lend a hand and learn some of these mods!!     I still can't find a mag light bracket in the Nashville area anywhere and would like to get 4onHI.

I'll have to check to see if I have any small shrink tube for the all on high. I do have a few diodes but I'm not sure how many.

diodes can be found at Radio Shack.....4 Diodes (I used N914-Type Diodes) and some heat shrink that will shrink that small.

I'll bring along my jimmi jammers if there is time to install, also my new back window decal, programmer,  and I'd like to have somebody take a look at my LOF, I believe I've got a loose wire somewhere that may have to be heat shrinked.   :dunno:

Everything else I'll leave at home and just hope one day I'll find somebody with time, knowledge and experience to install for me.

diodes can be found at Radio Shack.....4 Diodes (I used N914-Type Diodes) and some heat shrink that will shrink that small.

Whats the AOH mod? Also is the 4 diodes and some heat shrink all I need to do the Wigwag drls? If so I am going to pick some up. Anyone know a good cheap place to get some cup holders? I found some at wal mart but they are too big, like 3 3/4 instead of the three. I only have the sail panel leds on mine, besides when i tightened the tourshin bars on the front for lift. any other cheap mods anyone know of?

AOH stands for All on High....when you hit your high beams every light on the front of the truck stays on instead of the fogs and low beams turning off. Also, one of the diodes is used to keep your drls on even when the headlights come on.

the wigwags require a couple of relays and some cutting and splicing to make this happen.
this thread has the parts needed linked from the site I get mine from. I've got two sets of parts to do it on other trucks along with the extra wire and t-taps needed. If you want me to bring it along and install it $20 will cover the parts. Never a charge for labor.

I am going to have to find where the right side drl wire is damaged first. i couldnt find it the other day when i was looking so i just ran a temp wire to keep it one. i didn't like the idea of just leaving it off. so 20 bucks for the wigwags, tempting, i may have to get back to you on that. what parts are needed for the aoh mod?

I still can't find a mag light bracket in the Nashville area anywhere.

I found the part number for the nylon anchor nuts (.302 X .481 square, fits #8 screw) needed to secure the Mag light brackets, the #8 X 1/2" stainless screws shouldn't be a big deal either. When I get a chance I'll head to Home Depot or Lowes and pick them up. I'll run by my local ACE Hardware and look for the Mag light brackets, I thought I saw them there in the past?  I'm guessing you do have a Mag light?

I'm going to try to start Friday night!  I started packing up my mods last night!!!!

When I saw last weekend that we were going to have dry weather all this week I got the AV nice clean on Sunday.  Didn't do much other than vacuum it out, run it through a car wash, handwashed the wheels and applied tire dressing.  Still looks good, although I could give the cladding a little love.

Didit and Lu are camping down this way over the weekend and are going to stop by Saturday afternoon so I'll have spend some time socializing with them.

Possibly high beam HID's now too.   (yes, I STILL have some loose wires and screws both on me and the AV

They are camping at Shakamak State Park in southern Indiana.  I assume you will be traveling on I-70 west of Indianaplis?  Shakamak is about 45 minutes south of I-70, roughly one full county from the Indiana/Illinios boarder.  Do a search and I'm sure you can find more info on the park and how to get there, LOL!

As far as mods, I am gonna help Darren do his tailights, then he gonna help me refinish my cladding, and if anyone is willing to help (basically tell me what the hell to do as I am lost) with the wig wag mod. Other than that I am bringin all the tools and stuff so can help everyone else with other projects! Looking forward to the whole experience!

Also got the programmer up and running on the AV.

Bug shield won't fit with the current billet grille I have.  I will either buy a new billet grille or just remove it completely as I've never been happy with it since I got it, just lived with it.

My SPL's will hopefully come later this month along with my Jimmi Jammers.   I figured it was too much of a hassle to attempt the jimmi jammers this weekend.

Also don't forget the many CAC decals installed Sunday.   I have to get a scraper of some kind so I can take my old decal off before putting the new one on.   I like the way they look on the windshield  so I might do one there too!  (I just don't have a sunroof to stand up through so it would be tougher on mine.

If I remember correctly someone got their tail lights smoked.

Nice mod by the way Sean.  They look great on Darren's Big Black AV.

I bought a decal, just haven't got it on yet.

I also got some fender flares off of Ski Edition for my Silverado.

Oh and 1 more for me, either on the way home or yesterday going to the lake, we got about a 12" crack in the windshield on the passenger side.

That sucks Donnie.   Dont feel bad, Trish's Traverse has a crack on it about 2".

Yep that's about $180 I didn't plan on spending.

That's why I have $0 deductible comprehensive. It seems like we end up replacing one or another of the vehicle windshields at least every other year.
2002 LPM Z71, factory 4.10s - Magnacharger w/3" pulley, TOG's headers, 216/224-.551/.551-115 cam/pushrods/dual springs/titanium retainers, built tranny, Yank TT2600 stall converter, 24K GVW Tru-Cool tranny cooler,  Flex-A-Lites, ProCold intake, MSD wires & TR6 plugs, 20" Panther Juice 6's, 2.8" rear lowering springs & assorted hardware, J&J Enterprises stainless grille, body-color painted taillight covers. Self-tuned with HP Tuners software.

Cracked rear bumper cover from a run-in with a deer in fall 2008!

Yeah I may be thinking the same thing. I had to replace mine a few months ago and then got another crack a couple of weeks after. Fortunately we have only ever had to replace mine and now this one on any autos we have ever owned. Knock on wood.
