Reservations are made and I'll be getting all the info in the mail here next week.
I bought a getaway package for $149 that gives us 2 nights in the Poconos, 10,000 rewards points to my Wyndham account (which will get me a free night in one of their places) and a rebate up to $100 for a night in another one of their hotels. I have to listen about a 2 hour time share sales pitch while we're there but I've got earplugs for that

After I get more details on where we'll be staying I'll update this and see if there'll be any GTG's going on that weekend that we can make it to.

Hey how about a Short trip over to World famous Rutt's Hutt one night? I'm sure we could get a few NY/Ct/NJ Members over there for a nice GTG..It's only about an hour away from the Poconos..

You Gotta try some Rippers... We have had members from as far away as Ga (Loggie) to Canada (Stan) make the trips to Rutt's...

depending on what's going on Fri night we may be up for that. I figure we'll get there about 7pm though after the 6 hour drive. If we can get the sales pitch out of the way early Sat then we can do lunch and make it back in time for dinner with whoever makes it.

I said something to Twiggy about it's I was going out the door this morning. At first her eyes lit up at the thought of going into the city, then she said that the weekend wasn't supposed to be a " truck " weekend. I td her we still have Sun to enjoy the area. Don't think Enkie is gonna make it for Sat. He's got some work on the weekends that's keeping him busy. I think it's only us although I'll check Keystone and see if anyone has posted there that is coming that isn't on the list you already have.

Sat morning is a washout for me... kids have soccer games and karate. Not sure about Fri night, but I'll check with wifey. (amazing that I have do check in with her now for everything....)

Might be able to do a Rutt's on Sunday if that works for everyone else. 10/12 is Columbus day, but the kids still have school (Monday), so it would have to be "earlier" in the day - like a lunch GTG.

I know we won't be able to hit NYC that weekend though.

I will post that info as soon as I have it Fri afternoon. It's one of those first/come first/choice on which sales pitch you want schedule wise. the last one they have is at 2pm on Sat...it's 2 hours they said and I'll get up and walk out at 4 if need be.

It will be a lot of driving for you and the wife but It will be worth the trip. I think she will enjoy it..But I just don't like people to drive tired......

Tried making reservations, but they only offer "call ahead" on the weekends. I told them it was about 25 people so they told me to call ahead an hour before. We'll see how that pans out....

Ok all it's now 11:45 pm I just got home. I took A ride with Mike and his wife. First he followed me to World Famous Rutt's Hutt and he had a Ripper..

. Then we went in to NYC for a little tour..He can't belive how people drive in NYC. Well thats it for now. I'm beet and he is on Rt80 heading back to Pa. I will post some pics in the morning..... Good night.....

I got home about an Hour and a Half ago. Would have been home sooner but stopped at Sands Casino before I got home. I had a really good time.

OK, we had a great weekend and I need to toss out some thanks to everyone that showed up for this GTG. Most of us never need a reason to GTG but most of the members had a pretty good drive just to get there.

Troublemaker, Thanks for putting this together.
