Looks great, I love the orange AV!

I should be getting my RR today!  WOOHOO!  Now just need to find shade to put it on in...  But my question is, does RR leave your panels "waxy" or "oily" like some of the other products do like Mothers Back to Black?  I can set a cup of coffee on my panels and watch it slide across it like ice...lol.  Slick too if your climbing around on it.

I think I am going to try dishsoap to clean off the panels and remove the Mothers Back to Black I put on it a few weeks ago.  Really dont wanna screw it up.

Should be fun, saw the other guy that has a Gold AV in town (cladded), and were going to do both tonight...hopefully we have enough for 3 coats on my and (WBH) and his cladded.

Ill post pics soon!

Not sure about that either, lol.  Mine was gator backed under warranty, and to be honest it still looks pretty good. Gator back was done in spring of 05 if I remember right.  I just wanted the RR for the fender flares and maybe a GTG or two, hmmm,   I might try a spot on the #1 bed panel and see how it does with the gator back.   The product itself can be found at http://www.ditchek.com kinda costly but like BD said, cheaper than gator back!

I've done 4 coats on mine over the last year and a half, Donnie used some of mine on Gina's avy, I think someone else used some and I still have half a can left.

It was about $50 a can shipped if you only bought one can.

DONE! DID IT!  It was getting dark last night, so I waited till this AM to get the pics up. :)

Yes, the RR did everything as promised, looks great...and very true, a full can will do a truck multiple times over. I may have used 1/6 maybe to do my WBH.

I did doubt what a few people said about doing three coats. Well, its true, I think the best approach to get an even smooth finish you would want to use two or more so to cover up the streaking of the RR.  After the 3rd coat you have a nice smooth even finish.

Some pointers for future RR users, and Im cuerious of anyone else agrees, but these are a few things I learned and will do the next time I apply it.:

I did wear gloves, as recommended earlier. I agree whole heartedly with this as Im not sure how bad it is for your skin, but it gets STICKY/TACKY!
Next time I will use a lint free rag to use it...I thought I had a leftover microfiber towel, but I must have used it for something, so I use an old terry cloth rag...because RR gets a bit sticky, you tend to notice bits of the lint from the rag...I dont think this will affect it long term, and not noticeable to normal eye, but next time Ill use a microfiber or lint free rag...(Note: You can get them at the Dollar Tree stores)

Applying it, I notice after the first two coats, I was applying it with a back and forth motion (not circular)..maybe it was my eyes, but I saw streaks, well maybe not streaks, but different shades, dont get me wrong it still looked great, but the 3rd coat I applied I did in a circular motion all over, and it smoothed and evened everything.

I did apply it in the shade, but it was under a tree, and noticed a bit of pollen and bugs sticking to it.  ITS STICKY for about a 1/2 hour or so after you apply it.  Keep it in a garage or open shaeded area while you are applying it.

Do I think its worth it?  Damn straight.

Hope this helps those of you thinking about doing it, and those of you who have, I'd like to hear your thoughts about or techniques about applying it.
