Topic: New Sonic's Here in North Jersey.....

  After living in Ga for 2 years  there is a few things I miss..Sonic was one of them.. Well
I just got the news today.. The first Sonic in Northern Jersey is opening this Sunday....

In Hasbrouck Heights, NJ . I along with a few other people will try to set up a GTG there soon on a Sunday..

We had our first local Sonic open a few months ago. I don't cherish the though of sitting there for hours waiting my turn. I'll give it another month before I tackle it. Keep us posted on what you get planned. We have a few members over that way but they don't log in here much.

I wish our Sonic's were a little better...  We really like them but no matter how you try to say I want ketchup, mustard and mayo, they just can't get the order right... Then get all huffy because I ask them to go back and get me ketchup or mustard... and it's not like I'm being nasty with them - I honestly feel bad for the carhop that the kitchen can't get it right and I need to ask for extras.  And quite often they are out of something.   I thnk the management tries to make minimum supply orders.

Actually, the service in most of our fast food chains are sub par, most act like you're inconveniencing them by actually wanting to purchase a meal from them.  About 30% of the time we'll actually get a "Thank you"

Well Steph and I drove past the new Sonic last night at about 8:30. The line was about 3/4 mile long just to get in there.. We did not stop..

It was packed..  I will check it out again soon...

Well after 3 weeks of being open it is still hard to get in the parking lot. Steph came home from Chi town yesterday and said she was hungry so I said to her we will go by Sonic and see if we can get in. We got up there and the offduty Cop Flagged us in....     We still had to wait in line or go through the drive through, So we did.. They had some big problems in the past 2 weeks A cop got hit by a car driven by a guy that was pissed he could not get in. They now ticket you if you stop on Rt17...If you can't get in they will tell you to drive around.  North about 500yds make U-turn go south for about 3/4 mile then make U-turn again..They say some people will go around 3 times till they can get in...  Me I would just go to Rutt's Hutt...and get a Ripper...

Any way the food was good and worth the wait......I just don't know about a GTg there anytime soon..... BUT I would like to plan one at Rutt's soon.....

Well plan a GTG dude!!!!

Not gonna be planning a Sonic GTG...  at least at the one by me.  Food is good, parking is marginal, and service SUCKS.   I've been there twice, and they've gotten my order wrong THREE TIMES.  How, you may ask?

1 - First visit (opening day) - my daughter ordered a kid's meal with cheeseburger - it came with lettuce/tomato/etc, when it should have only came with ketchup, as requested.

2/3 - second visit - Ordered for the whole family, we got our drinks and no food.  I told the carhop we ordered a bunch of other food too, had to hand her the paper I wrote the orders on, which she took to the building.  She comes out a few mins later with half our food, and some food that someone else must have ordered.  I give her this food back, and tell her we are still missing some food.  so she goes back and finally brings back our food, and IT'S COLD!!!!

Screw this restaraunt.  I will travel the 23 mins to the one in Waretown instead.

Well I was talking to a old member from TOS. He is moving out of state. I think we are going to have a small
Hot dog run soon maybe JJ's and Rutt's...  It's in the planing now...
