Friday July 10th Moddess takes NYC GTG!!

Come and have a fun filled night as the Crazy Canadian Moddess leaves her mark on NYC (Heck we will never be the same!!)

We will be meeting at the Roosevelt Hotel in the Lobby between 6:30 and 7pm and then heading off to a fun time on the town. Some of the things on the agenda are Madame Tussauds Wax museum and some time at Dave and Busters. This event will be Kid Friendly so bring the young ones if you have them. Lets get a good group and show Moddess what makes NYC the best city on earth!!!

Roosevelt Hotel is located at 45 East 45th St Right in the heart of Manhattan. I suggest taking in the train and using subways or cabs to get to the Rally point. I dont suggest bringing the trucks in as parking is tough and expensive and traffic is sometimes tough on the paint.

Yap, can't wait to meet the New Yorkers. Frankie and I talked about the 9 or the 10th. Don't think the 11 would work as much for me but it is definitely a doable.

... had lunch with him on Sunday and July is his break from school. So he'll be in NC and visiting some friends in FL. In case you didn't know ... LOL JohnB and I are good friends. He was going to spend some time with me and the kids and NY until we found out it was during his break.

Still trying to get him to meet me in MI.

I thought you were but didnt want to assume anything. Im gonna try to set up a camping GTG most likely in early Sept and want to get him down here. My Brother in law is a chef and owns a resturant and I know they would get along like peas in a pod!

Well I get out of work at 4:30 and am usually home by 5 so I am figuring I can make a train at like 5:15 or so and put me into penn at around 6.

That will work, there are many different routes we could go from there on this GTG,I'm gonna call scotty in a couple to finallize the plans. and he should have it all fine tuned today.(keep in mind that because this is N.Y.C and that's there is no possible way we could fit everything we could want into one nite,I figure we set a meet point,one or two things and go from there,so its gonna be fun(.#7

Meeting at my Hotel is PERFECT. We will be visiting all day and would be nice to come back to the Hotel, relaxe and shower before the GTG. Also I'll have cold beverages :cool: while we wait for all to arrive. 7 ish sound good for me also

Yeah when we had a mini GTG in NYC last weekend bc an old military buddy of mine came in from WA we went to Toys R Us for that sole purpose. The kids loved riding the giant ferris wheel inside the toy store. I also had to take my buddy to FAO Schwarz (had to see the giant piano from big). I cant wait to meet you all. Also I dont know how much your kids are into balloons but if you want I can bring my balloons with me (so long as you dont mind me leaving them in your room while we go eat and whatever LOL)

WHEN: 10th July - 17th July 2009

Marieanne is bringing her niece on the trip to help her with the kids so she has a baby sitter so when we go out for round two anyone with kids can leave them there. We will just chip in to giver her something for her efforts. That way we can get a few coctails and have a few additional laughs too. I think this will make the GTG ver flexible and if some people want to come in for part two only they can do that!! Who knows---- I may even break out the kilt!!

I'd love to take Twiggy there sometime. It's been a little over 20 years since I've been there. I have to say Central Park is just amazing when you see it from the Empire State Building. You would never think a park is that huge.

I spoke to Moddess last night and her and the kids are in NYC having a blast and are ready for tomorrow night!!! Some info she did share is at her hotel, the Roosevelt where we are meeting, when you go into the lobby you will see the desk and then stairs up to s second level of the lobby. Go up those stairs to a seating area. Thats where we will meet tomorrow.
