I don't have a problem with helping cook.

I love to eat so, the sooner I start cooking, the sooner I get to eat.

At our family GTG's my older brother is the Grill Master and I'm usually the beer bitch.

So its funny that I finally get to be the chef.

At my first Bratfest somebody (cant remember who it was, sorry) introduced me to
the Beer Boil for the Brats prior to girlling them. That was some serious Good Eats.
Chopped onion?, Green pepper?, Old Milwaukee?, Bay leaf?, I'll have to find the recipe.

If we are to do brats this year I'd like to try and recreate that experience.

It might have been Yndio. The whole reason BratFest started was because Yndio and KY member Murman got to talking about grilling and brats came up and Murman said he had the best beer boil recipe but it required Old Style beer and he couldn't find any in KY and Yndio said there was plenty of Old Style here in KC so we all decided to meet in St Louis for Brat Fest!!

So if you can't find it I can ask Murman (who has since moved to NorCal) for the recipe and like I said it was Old Style beer not old Milwaukee.

EarthQuake rode with me and KY_Bob rode with Murman and CowgirlUP. That was a LONG day. We left Nashville at 5:00 a.m. and didn't get back home that night until just after midnight. Murman gave away bottles of Meguiar's detail spray.

That was my first introduction to quick detail sprays. I've gone through a bunch of it since then, especially the two years I had the Vette. It's against Vette law to drive a dirty one.

Any dirty/dusty/buggy areas were sprayed down every time I drove it. The Millennium yellow was really pretty but man did it show every little speck of dirt!

Funny you mention this as I was at the 1st one as well and intro'd to detail spray then when I got my free bottle. I have used it ever since!

It was Yndio who had a full table of the quick detail sprays, I don't think he could give them all away. I know I took 3 bottles..........

It would be great to get Murman and his family there again! I am not sure that we can make it this year but will let you know as time draws near.

Update! I was at the Chevy dealer on Saturday to pick up a few things and I spoke with my buddy from the parts department. You folks that attended Bratfest III in 07 may remember the goodies I brought from the dealer to raffle off, a few different clocks, floor mats, etc....... I told him it was that time of year again and asked if he might be able to give up some goodies for our GTG, he said he might be able to do it but remind him when it got closer!!!!!!!!

I would like to be able to go back to normal once Bratfest is over but I would like to promote it now!!!

You can add it to your profile but if you keep all your other info there it will be really big. If the banner is the only thing you want in your profile then copy and paste your existing siggy into notepad or something like that and keep it on your desktop. The other thing is, if you were to use all of the code above at tos, it would get removed because it redirects back to this site. I've added the banner only at tos as you've started a thread for it over there as well.

Yeah, we get that a lot. We named our 1st kid Dalton not thinking about it. When our 2nd came along we thought if we named him something other than starting with the letter D he would feel left out..

OK folks, here's the deal! I just got off the phone with a friend of mine (Parts Manager) from the Chevy dealer in O'Fallon, MO. As I stated in a previous post I've been trying to have him donate a few things that I can give as attendance prizes, I'll be going by there Friday after work to pick them up!!!!!

I'm not sure what they will be or even how many he can provide but I figure something is better than nothing at all!!!! Some of you may remember the 07 Bratfest, the things I brought then were pretty cool so lets hope for the same!!!!!!

You have any kids? My kids want to go to the City Museum www.citymuseum.org We are planning on being in St. Louis before Lunch on Sat. and then finding something to do in the afternoon. Maybe the museum or something else...There's also Grant's Farm, Zoo, Arch, Anheuser Bush Brewery tour (free beer!!!!). Lots of things to do.....

Boys are off doing their own thing, but may bring girls 12 and 14. They might just hang back with friends, but they love to go. They just want to go wherever the boys are. If I come, I'll drag the camper up friday night and find something to do Saturday and go to the GTG on Sunday. I'm sure things will firm up a little closer to the date.

If you are camping over at Sundermeier, you will be right at the end of historic Main Street.

A little change in plans. Sundermeier RV Prk has no pool, so that's a no go! Since the girls are coming up with us, the KOA on Route 66 is close to Six Flags and they have room for us. 99% sure we'll pull the string and come up friday night and go to 6 flags on Saturday AM/Afternoon and be open for the late afternoon/evening. I hope to confirm Ski Edition +3 soon. Looking forward to meeting all the personalities on the board. Should be a big time!!

Well I stopped by the dealer Friday to pick up whatever my friend was going to give me for Bratfest, as it turns out he had to leave early Friday so I talked with one of the other parts guys. My friend (Kevin) had a few things set aside for me but I gotta say I thought it would be more, I know I shouldn't bitch it was something. What I have are three items, a fishing/Chevy Truck T-shirt, a Chevy bowtie hat and what appears to be a pen/pencil holder for a desk, I think it may even have a clock on it?? I'm pretty sure I brought one of these in 07??
