Suburban running boards, Holes in rockers?
« on: May 13, 2009, 05:35:57 PM »
Looking to purchase a set of OEM Suburban running boards for my 04 WBH Avalanche and was curious if they bolt to the rocker? They look really close at the ends by the wheels. I like the look but don't want holes in the rockers. I live in michigan and the salt would play heck with them. Do they just hang like a "normal" running board? Anyone do this mod? Are you happy with them? Anything to look out for?

Thx.

You have a pic of this suburban?  If not,go to google images and google it.

When i installed the Yukon XL Denali ruuning boards,i didnt have to drill anything.  They fit down right perfect including the mouldings in the rockers.

The running boards youre looking for should be from a Suburban 2002-2006.

The boards on the top white one is what I am looking at. I do not have the wheel flares. It looks as if they are attached on the ends to the rocker but I am thinking it is an optical illusion and there is a gap there, Is this correct?

So there is a gap between the board & the rocker where it sweeps up on the ends?

Thx.

Im guessing the gap you're referring to,.... is for the mud flaps.

I'm refering to the area that is horozontal where the board sweeps up on the ends and looks like it is connected to the running boards.
