3 things:
Good luck.
Enjoy.
If you make a change and things don't seem right go back to the previous tune and look things over again.

:jacked:  Sorry guys.  I didn't want to sart a new thread... just thought I would throw it here.  I did a lot of research on here regarding the different programmers and decided to go with the Predator.  I thought the HPT would have been to much for my lil' brain to handle.  I just installed the predator and what a difference it made.  I just did the 87 octane tune and WOW!  I didn't need much more HP or torque with the 8.1.  I just needed a little work with the tranny from shifting so much with the large tires.  It worked.  Now I can play with other parameters... maybe? :idiot2:

If you want to start changing other parameters you should take a look at the Diablosport forum; I suspect you already have. There are some pretty easy to understand threads on changing the injector slope and timing. It's pretty difficult to get yourself in serious trouble only messing with shift times/mph. I believe MonteSS is the one that posted the threads I'm referring to; he's posted in this thread also.

I've got it and have spent a few minutes scanning things.

You've also got mail.

I saw a few things of note:

1.  The changes to where it is trying to balance the STFT dithering at higher o2 sensor levels even at fairly low airflow should give you a richer than stock AFR.  Don't know that is needed at low airflow levels, even with a blower.  FlaBouy has talked to me about going leaner in airflow levels representing cruising conditions to improve fuel economy.  I haven't tried that yet, but I may be experimenting with that soon.

2.  #1 is offset at higher throttle levels where Power Enrichment kicks in by not commanding as rich a condition in Power Enrichment compared to a stock tune.

3.  I noticed that your normal shift speeds are fairly close to where I have mine.  My cruise control shift speeds are the same as my normal, but your cruise control shift speeds are quite different from your normal.

4.  I noticed in your Force Current table that in the column for 100% commanded line pressure, you have it set for 0 current, which should provide maximum pressure.  I thought that I had read somewhere that it's a good idea to put the values in this column to max current, I believe 1254 mA.  The stock tune puts high values like this in this column, as did Hypertech when set to firm up shifts.

Saw numerous other things that were different from stock or the direction that I have gone, but these above were the ones that I found somewhat surprising.

I haven't messed with any of this yet so what you are seeing is based on the Magnacharger tune. I've got a lot to learn and I haven't attempted a log yet, much less working on a VE table. And from what I've read, that's the first thing I need to attempt before messing with anything else.

2.  #1 is offset at higher throttle levels where Power Enrichment kicks in by not commanding as rich a condition in Power Enrichment compared to a stock tune. Again, this is coming from the stock Magnacharger tune as I haven't messed with anything.

3.  I noticed that your normal shift speeds are fairly close to where I have mine.  My cruise control shift speeds are the same as my normal, but your cruise control shift speeds are quite different from your normal.I changed these for the normal shift speeds but just haven't copied it over to the cruise table yet. I don't get a chance to use cruise that much so I wasn't in a hurry to get it copied over.

This is something I guess I need to take a look at right away. Again, I have't changed anything here.

Saw numerous other things that were different from stock or the direction that I have gone, but these above were the ones that I found somewhat surprising.

Thanks for the feedback.

correct

yeah, do some data logging and get your average LTFT's dialed in so that they're between 0 to -2.  You adjust your injector slope in order to do this.  Doing so will gain you even better throttle response, acceleration, stronger/harder pull, and better mileage...

here's the info on how to do it:  http://diablosport.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=917

and, you'll get even better power if you use 91/93 octane gas and the diablo performance tune

Thanks BigToy and Monte.  I've seen Monte's posts over there a lot.   :yourock:  I actually have the Diablosport forum open in another window... I'm outta here.   :cacrocks"
