I need a OEM 2002 CD/radio

More specifically I need the CD player out of one.

Please help, I moding the mod here......

do we dare ask? Anyway, if anyone in the STL area has one and can get it to me before Sat. my brother would be able to transport it back as he is heading back to Anchorage Saturday morning.

I added the rear seat controles and they only work with my stock radio, but the cd player is toast in it. I'm asuming any stock 02 Avalanche unit will work.

I'm running an OEM unit now but I got it in 1995/96 for a 1998 or so and doesn't work the RSA. I'm going to miss it, it's not exactly stock OEM.....and I cant take it to any dealer

Wish I could help but I'm still running the stock stereo in mine as well. I really want to replace it but just haven't got around to it, a few of the buttons are dark.

Does it have to be from an AV or can one from a suburban or other models with RSA work also?

its possible. I did a search on ebay , looking for a radio, and some said not for RSA. This has me worried. I guess 2001-2002 radio would work?

I also changed all the bulbs in my radio. wasn't so bad. $10 for 25 bulbs on ebay. I have changed all the bulbs in my Av except the bun warmer switch.
PS the bulb in the headlight switch comes out, without taking it apart. that was a $60 mistake

I can get one at a wreaking yard, even with my discount they are very prowd of them. I'm kinda cheep. but I'm getting better

How did you change the bulbs in your radio? I thought I was told once they were burnt out they couldn't be replaced???

just took it apart and solderd new bulbs in. I don't listen to people who say it cant be done. I find they dont try hard enough somtimes

Thats what we told Fowlhunter to do but im assuming he never did it.

Do you still need a radio? I was over looking at the for sale stuff on TOS, I know, I know, anyway butterfingarz has one for sale for $70 and it has the cd player in it. Just thought I would let you know. It is posted on 3 July, 2nd page of for sale items.

No, I never did replace the bulbs, doesn't really seem to be worth it to me. I'm in the process of removing the factory head unit anyway.
