5x5.5 on our 6x5.5 hub
« on: March 10, 2009, 01:46:54 AM »
Does anybody know of a simple solution for putting 5x5.5 wheels on our 6x5.5 hubs? I have seen the adapters, and heard good and bad things about them. Can 5x5.5 wheels be re-drilled to 6x5.5 pattern? Or is the only possible way to use the adapters or swap axles/hubs? This is why I am asking: I love the Ram SRT-10 22" wheels. Obviously they are 5x5.5 lug pattern.

Here are some pics of the wheels I want on my Av:
(I know, ugly truck... but SWEET WHEELS!)

Also... If anybody has any photoshop skills, it would be sweet if we could see what these wheels would look like on an Av..

They look a lot like C5 Z06 wheels.

I don't think you'll be able to redrill so you're left with using adapters. As long as you go with machined billet you should be OK. I've heard bad things about cast spacers.
