3D Carbon Hood Vents

I have been eye ballin' these for my 2" hood scoop... 

...the hood of course need to be cut-out.   My question is,.... is it a bad idea when it comes to heavy rain?   Im sure the engine bay gets wet when it rains anyways and i would have to clean it more often.

Hmmmmmmm, I was always thing about them too, but I would just go the ones that just get the 3m tape installation.  I have not found ones I like just yet.

Man Blue seems like all the mods your into lately have somthin to do w/ cuttin up the AV. Did you get a new plasma cutter for X-Mas?

Just like blue, I have no restrictions on cutting, drilling, or any thing else on my AV..... :thumbup:

The factory Lumina Z34 had open scoops like that. I've been thinking about putting some type of functional aftermarket vent like that on mine to help with underhood heat removal. I don't see water entry being a big deal. If you were super concerned about it you could rig some type of a Goretex membrane that channeled the water to the firewall.
