« on: January 15, 2009, 09:05:07 PM »
Had to do some drivin around today in this fridgidness & I gotta tell ya the Avy was flyin! :fast:

Seemed like I added 10% HP to the engine, was able to do awsome burnouts on dry pavement for the first time ever! I almost couldn't wait to get to the next red light for it to turn green!

If you think a naturally aspirated engine loves the cold, you should see a forced induction engine.  :evil5:
2002 LPM Z71, factory 4.10s - Magnacharger w/3" pulley, TOG's headers, 216/224-.551/.551-115 cam/pushrods/dual springs/titanium retainers, built tranny, Yank TT2600 stall converter, 24K GVW Tru-Cool tranny cooler,  Flex-A-Lites, ProCold intake, MSD wires & TR6 plugs, 20" Panther Juice 6's, 2.8" rear lowering springs & assorted hardware, J&J Enterprises stainless grille, body-color painted taillight covers. Self-tuned with HP Tuners software.

Cracked rear bumper cover from a run-in with a deer in fall 2008!

But can you hold that burnout through second gear?   :dans2:

On way to work yesterday, with IATs at -2, computer was calculating the peak airflow at 317 grams/second.

On a 70 degree day, I probably wouldn't see airflow above 280 grams/second.

Colder air, denser air, more fuel, more power.

On the other hand, my stock fuel injectors were maxed out around 5600 rpm.   banghead1

18x10 Forged Weld Wheels, BFG g-Force KDWs, JBA shorties, custom catback with FM70, Crane plug wires, Trailblazer Torque Converter, bigger cam, efans, HP Tuners custom tune, WAAG stuff, mildly boosted with Vortech Supercharger.......
