The truck looks great Doc.

I cant wait to see the new front fascia.

Are you going to do anything with the stock running boards?  Replacing them with chrome nerf bars would really make it stand out.

I am soooo jealous with the schmooved and painted cladding.  Does your painter have a friends and family discount?

Not that bad of a job for a rattlecan!    :thumb:

What do you mean by "rattlecan"?? ???

Are you calling his AV a rattlecan or saying his cladding was painted with spraypaint?? :wtf:

WOW!!! :o

Can they paint cladding without removing it??

Yes they can but I think it's easier to work on if you remove it.

How many clips did you break so far Jeff?
all of them except 1 :evil5: saved myself 3 bucks! 2funny

Those clips get broke here at the shop by our techs everytinme that they work on one of these AV's, so it;s not just you.
Your truck looks great! :worship:
thanks JR! they're expensive to replace too @ $4 a piece and 15 clips per door panel! ouch!!

The truck is lookin sweet Jeff, If you didn't know it you would think it is a totally different truck. Did you smooth all the cladding out before painting?
Its sanded down and then he used a polyurethane type paint that fills in the roughness and leaves it smooth! :thumb:

B
Haven't decided on the running boards yet, thinking of painting them to match with either a dark purple or black edging around the top of them to set them off. I ordered the diamond plate inserts that go on the rear bumper to tie everything together! can't wait to see the front bumper myself! :evil5: My painter is looking for a shop he can call home, and then i think he might do more work, probably give you a great price!

Okay took some pics of the practice fitting of my new(?) aftermarket bumper. It wont be ready for STI-V so I had my painter paint my front cladded bumper to get me thru!.We are going to build up the sides where there's a gap so it all looks like one piece. You can see where the gaps are now on the front 1/4 panels from where the stock bumper fits. Will take pics of the new painted cladded bumper later this weekend!
