Sent an email to this seller eBay auction: #220335529760 asking to see if he can make me a "BlueDevil SS" hood decal like this one using the "Vortec" font.

I did too.... but this is my old factory hood. So i want to replicate the old look again but with custom words.

Everywhere on eBay. Search: "chevy avalanche decals".

I dont remember where i got those tho'.....ebay for sure,under $15.

Thanks! I checked out ebay and don't see anything with the bowtie--just the Vortec, etc......

Ahhh,... i see. I bought those a few yrs ago.

Im buy my decals from this fella: http://stores.ebay.com/GUNNER-GRAPHICS Contact the seller and ask him if he has the hood decals for a chevy truck with the bowtie on them.

Larry (Tribal Av) at http://www.lasr-decals.com/ made our decals. Not sure if he does the hood ones or not though, He also did our visor decals. Just ask and he may be able to do it for you.

Heres another one without the "SS". I dont want the "SS" twice in the truck in the same side as i already have "SS" on the doors.

I would have to agree, you really don't want to have SS on your truck twice that close together. The BD on the hood looks good though.

I sure hope you can find someone to do that Blue - I really like how that looks. I've bought decals from Gunner too - they are good quality. Got my "chrome" Avalanche decals for the lettering on the cladding from him. Holding up pretty well, although I have lost a letter (probably help if I stayed out of the high pressure car washes

)

1 vote for the BD w/o SS. Need to hone my Photoshop skills so I can test mine. Would like to see what your old decal looks like on my truck. That really looks good!

How i did it.....

-Clone color over the existing decal to remove it.
-Create new text with transparent background,move it over to the image with the hood in it and place it to fit.

Download "Avalanche font" here: http://www.openminds.net/avalanche/font.htm and add it to your font folder.

Larry (Tribal AV) did the Ram Air decals on my hood. They've been on for close to a year and a half now and still look great. I'd post a pic if I could find one, although I'm sure there's a pic of it somewhere in someone's picture album from a gtg.

These decals are actually one with another slightly smaller one on top. The base decal is red, the top black, with the net effect being black lettering with a red outline to the letters. (Matches up nicely with my red pinstripe tape.) Larry was able to email .jpg files for me to look at before I decided on size, etc. He gave me 2 different fonts to look at. He can do about anything you want in the size you are looking at. I highly recommend him, and you can work with him to get exactly what you want.

Thanks... Those Black Chrome Boss 20's against the 2/4 drop is the best mod I have on my truck in my opinion... The "Supercharger" emblems could stand to be a little larger IMHO. But they were never bought to go there... they were bought to go down where the Stainless SS emblems are and on the rear tailgate. I still have three of those left to place somewhere.
