Welcome to Midwest Chevy Avalanche Club VinnieGTP Thank you for registering. Post up, don't be shy and tell us about yourself. What year and color your AV is etc. Checkout your profile as well and edit it so we know who you are and where from.

The Ohio site is pretty slow with only a handfull of active members, I stop in there from time to time. This site here is growing and we're a pretty close knit bunch. I went to a gtg in MO over Labor Day weekend and it was the first chance I had to meet any of the members from here (although most of them are also members elsewhere) It was like meeting distant cousins for the first time at a family reunion, you've heard of them and maybe even emailed them but have never had the chance to meet them in person.

Good point. I am aircraft maintenance, crew chief, so I guess you could say the same about us. Of course with what we put up with, we always felt like s&$t

Very true, I just hear it more from Ammo then I do Maintainers I guess. Crew Chief? Have you heard of Dos Gringos?

Doss and Maxwell are stationed there at Wright Pat now. I was stationed with them at Minot and then here at Whiteman. There is also a Chief Buck over there that I worked for here.

Last year, during my PHA, I was diagnsed T1 Diabetic. Immediate 4T, T4, I forget, profile and med board. In the 3C0 world, if you can't deploy, you're useless. So they medically discharged me.

Now I'm a lowlife contractor working for Comm.

I was pretty bitter at first but got over it as I figure everything happens for a reason right. I'm making pretty good money as a contractor just waiting for 1 of the 4 GS-12s in my old office to retire so I can move up to that kind of position.

Now that would be a sweet promotion. I'm retiring after 22 yrs here in a couple of months. I have 10 showing up for work days left before I start permissive tdy and terminal. I'll be going full time at Lowe's for now until something else comes along. I have applied for the gate guard position here . They are making $20 an hour without benefits.

I swear Lowes LOVES the military. I know so many people who have taken jobs there after they retire. I also know a bunch of gate guards that like the job but hate the hours and sched.

Congrats of the retirement! Are you staying in the local area there? Hometown?

We'll be staying here. Lowes loves the military because they know we do what we're told and show up for work on time. Oh almost forgot, we'll work for peanuts.

Very true. Drug free was the last reason I heard when I applied there.
