I want to get rid of the switch of the extra foglights and hooked them up to the DRL's full time.

How is this done? By adding a diode just like the "All 4 on" mod into the DRL fuse?

Yep. That's how my is configured. That way you don't have to push the button. You are talking about the foglights/driving lights below the bumper right?

No,.....those two foglights behind the grill;i want to hook them up to the DRLs. A diode should do right?

I would think so Blue - that's how I did my full time DRL's - I'm far from an expert, but I think if you used the diode to hook them up, they should work when the DRL's do...

If the foglights behind the grill use a relay, all the switch does is send 12 volts to the relay to activate it.
Instead of using that 12 volts, use the 12 volts going to the DRL's to activate the fogs.
If you only want to have the fogs turn on with the DRLs, no diode would be neccessary, just tie the wire coming from the switch to relay to the hot on the DRL.
If you also want to be able to switch the fogs on without the DRLs then you would need a diode.

I dont have a relay. Youre saying;take the wires from the switch and hook them up to the DRL relay?

" Break" the 12 volt feed to the fogs with the relay. use the drl 12v to close the relay so the power is then sent to the fogs.

here's an ugly pix I drew up in paint real quick. get a relay and it should tell you what poles to use for what.

When the drl's kick on it will power the relay to "close" allowing the power coming from the interior switch to flow through to the fogs, If you want to eliminate the inside switch altogether, then find a constant 12v feed.

Ok, found the relay wiring. Looking at the post on the bottom of the relay you will see 4 (maybe 5 poles depending on which one you buy)

Post# 87a is normally closed...This will be the 12v wire going to the fogs.
Post# 30...This is the other wire from the fogs, the wire that comes from the inside switch.
Post# 86...Ground to body.
Post# 85...Tap into DRL power.

My bad Blue. I couldn't see the pic at work so I thought you were talking about the stock driving lights below the bumper. I forgot you had the ones behind the grille.

A relay is just a relay right? I went to AuotZone and saw they had some what appeared to be relays. It had 4-5 prongs and square used for turn signals? I talked to the counter dude and he was no help.

That's what I used when I did my wig wags. You MIGHT also find them at Radio Shack.

Mine are the 5 pin but the "87" pin is duplicated, on of those pins are not used so you should be able to use the 4 or the 5 pin.

you're right, I did see that when I went and looked but it didn't register at the time.

Sorry, I missed this thread.

A 4 pin relay should work for you.
A 5 pin relay, just switches power between the 4th and 5th pin.
You can use a 5 pin, you will just have a spade with nothing connected to it.
