Check a local "junk" or "surplus" store or Harbor Freight for the clamps and save a few bucks. I couldn't get the T-55's out to make life easier so I had to do some wrangling to get the old pads out and the new ones in. I did use my 1/2" breaker just to get things loose at first.

WHERE IT REALLY IS ABOUT THE FRIENDS AND AVY'S, AND NOT THE ALMIGHTY ADVERTISING DOLLAR!

8. Unless your rotors are deeply scored from a worn brake pad, they usually don’t need to be turned.

Slap on the cheapest brake pads and forget rotors if you plan to sell it   :evil5:

If they are deeply scored you likely need new rotors, minor scoring will reduce brake pad life. Some shops will tell you they need to turn rotors every time and try to sell you the most expensve brake pads, go somewhere else or change the pads yourself.

Did any of the bolts give you a hard time?  Trying to decide whether or not to pick up a break bar while I'm out...

I needed my breaker bar when I changed my rear pads back in the fall.  Of course that was on a 5 year old AV with 140,000 miles.  Not bad for the original pads.  Still got the originals on the front.

18x10 Forged Weld Wheels, BFG g-Force KDWs, JBA shorties, custom catback with FM70, Crane plug wires, Trailblazer Torque Converter, bigger cam, efans, HP Tuners custom tune, WAAG stuff, mildly boosted with Vortech Supercharger.......

My 02 has about 88,000 on it, and the rotors look fine, but the front pads have started to squeek a bit, and I wanted to get em switched out before the start gouging the rotors.  I think they are still the original pads... should the replacements last as long too?

Thanks for the offer, I proabably won't have time to get this done until the weekend now anyways, rain spoiled my plans today  banghead1  I think I got most of the tools I need today, just need to pick up the pads themselves and some brake fluid.  The 2 places I went to did not have Dot 4 fluid.  Do you have anything going on Saturday afternoon?
