I'm not sure if there's a size difference between the 282 & 292. The 282 fans move about 5500 cfm. I've got a trans cooler mounted in front of the radiator so it benefits from the increased airflow. It's a Tru-Cool unit and has a check-valve in it so that it's by-passed until the tranny fluid warms up.

It's not so much a fit issue as an ease of installation issue.  With the stock GM unit, basically slide the shroud into the tabs at the bottom and secure with the four bolts that secure the non efan shroud.

ok, I got my taxes back and now I'm looking at alternators. For those of you who have upgraded let me know what amperage you used and why. Also let me know what brand and why.
