Hmmm,....so,..there is a sensor there. I wonder if i damaged it when placing the belt back on. I remember the belt got cought under the crankshaft pulley and i pulled it out.
Maybe you just bent the bracket holding the sensor to the block. The furthurthe sensor is from the wheel, the weaker the signal will be, causing more variation in the timing. If your running the sensor is most likely good.
I haven't worked on one of these yet, but I'm surprised if they put the crank sensor outside of the block on a newer vehicle.If the part about inspecting the reluctor wheel is specific to these engines, then maybe they did.One of these days, I'm going to have to buy a service manual.You can clear the code with a code scan tool.If you don't have one, go to Autozone and have them clear it.Make sure all the sensor plugs are secure.Since you had some things apart while servicing the super charger, one may have become unplugged.Make sure no wires have been routed near a heat source or have become melted.If you are still setting a code and the truck runs good, we check your crank runout when you are in town.I can bring a dial indicator and pry bar.
