Topic: Emissions Warrany.....

Does anyone know of a website where I could put in a VIN to see if I am under emissions warranty? My wife has a 2000 Chevy Tracker and it just started throwing a code: P0400, a malfunction with the exhaust gas recirculation flow. It has less than 50,000 miles and COULD be under the emissions warranty, does anyone remember what that warranty was for GM back in 2000? Yea, I will call the dealer on Monday but am worried about it now............


Hey, I wonder if this could be a loose or bad gas cap, we get codes like this on the Avalanche if the cap is loose. Guess I better go check........

Thanks BD, I had no idea there was a Tracker Forum, I sure hope that they don't GTG.........

I will give the EGR valve a quick open at idle test and if it's OK I Will tell the wife that it can't be fixed!

Sorry i couldnt find what you was looking for Butch.

My daughter's 2002 Dodge Neon had the same problem a few months ago and i replaced the gas cap. That cured the problem.

My daughter's 2002 Dodge Neon had the same problem a few months ago and i replaced the gas cap. That cured the problem.

I ask my wife if she had just got gas when the light came on, thinking that the cap may be loose. She had not. She is gone right now but later I will check that cap.
