You need to take that thing off IMMEDIATELY!!! .................I'll give ya $50 for it.
Can you turn it by hand with the belt off. See if you can hear the noise while turning it and see if it is wobbling
Are ya sure it's the blower, maybe the ALT or belt tensioner. Ya may want to check everything on the belt including the water pump
Why can't you drive with the factory belt?
I would think that you could run on the injectors and the tune you have installed now.The CAI and oil lines may not be that big of a deal.
Thats what i thought too. I need to find a fat bolt to stick in the oil hoses tho'....oh and somehow plug the vacuum nipple.
Well this stinks. With the description given, they think a bearing(s) is going bad. I have to pack it and send it in for repairs out of my own pocket....and to top it off,i cant drive the AV with the factory belt and factory tune because the 40# injectors. That blows!
Bearings are covered by the warranty?
I meant to say bearings aren't covered......you said you had to pack it up and send it in for repairs out of your own pocket, or were you just talking about shipping?
Ahhh..... shipping is out of pocket. I shipped it today. $14 UPS.
I hope you insured it as the last thing I got from UPS was trashed.
Dayuum! Nope. I didnt.
So what's the feedback? They were supposed to have a quick turnaround so you should have at least heard something by now.
Should have sent it USPS so you could blame MoAV if they got lost!
I saw that....
"He's not replying to my post. I think cuz i called his attention over at MAC."You mind explaining this? You do realize that even though they have me IP blocked, I still get into that site at will? I responded to your post on my site as soon as I saw it, but since you have not been back since to check for a response, it is somehow my fault? Guess bashing me on CAFNA is still open season these days.... Shame, because I thought you were one of the good ones.Anywho, my recomendation was even though you checked for oil flow by breaking the line, I recommended checking the oil filter that resides in the 90* fitting going into the blower. If it were to pick up trash from the engine oil pan and get clogged, it might restrict oil flow and cause bearings to go bad.... I have run my V2 for the last 2 years without that inline filter with no issue. When I trade it off for the YSi next month I suspect to get a grade A trade in credit because the blower is still performing as quiet as the day I slapped it on.... I am trading it in only because it will not blow enough air to fill the L92 heads on the new motor.Good Luck with your issue...
The mail? nope. Me? Yup...it's too hot out to move fast.... Any word yet Blue?
... I gave up waiting and today i went to your site and you replied 2 days later.....
Glad to hear it's back!! I'll bet you'll be glad to get it all back together
Well......its here. The invoice shows a $360 worth the work under warranty. What gets me is, the desciption given on work performed was: "minor repair". What the hell is that? I would like to know what they fixed ya know?
I'd have to call. I would have to know exactly what they had to do to fix it. I like Fla's idea of removing the in-line filter or else would start checking it very frequently.
So are you back together and running yet, Mick? Did you find out the specifics?
Woohoo! Im running again! Yeah baby!I picked up the inlets today and installed it with the repaired blower. I let it run for 15 minutes to warm up and took it for a spin. I was gone for a good 45 minutes,....and yes,i hot-dogged the crap out of it. When i got home i looked under the hood to see if anything was broken,....nope,i guess im good to go.Dammit! I missed my AV. It didnt run for 4-5 weeks. Im happy now.
GREAT Blue!! I can imagine how long that 4-5 weeks was - mine was only gone a week and I went through withdrawals!! Glad to hear it's running so well for you
