Thanks. Work accidentally let me have a day off. I got bored.
I thought you were on here when you should have been working this morning. Looks good Mo, got anything in blue so you can do mine?
Looks very good. How'bout a shot of clear coat on that to put a nice shine on it?
Sure OBB - we're having a modding GTG next weekend...I'll have the paint That's what I was thinking too... I'll get the paint tomorrow & finish it off. Did the Fuse box cover too. Amazing how a little color dresses up the engine compartment!! Now I need to wash it
Ummmm. Glitter fingernail polish?
Hey Mo!,heres something for you to drool on: http://midwestavalancheclub.com/gallery/1_05_08_07_9_59_14.jpg
Before you do that you should do the ribs also. That would look great.
MoAV that has to be a first "Glitter fingernail polish"It looks good
women!!!! LOL
Will you do my toes next???
I know fingernail polish isn't probably something normally used, but that stuff is really tough. And comes in every color imaginable for a whole lot less than paint.
I'd be willing to bet that if you and OBB show up at our GTG on June 8th, she'll do his engine cover AND your toes both!
Hi Anna!! I used a plastic paint from Home Depot. It's a specialty paint made just for plastic - I'm hoping it hold up under the hood. We'll see. I threw the can away, so I don't have the brand - but in the spray can section look for the cans that say "Plastic paint" on them. It shows a picture of one of those outdoor plastic chairs on it. I figured if it's made for those, and they sit in the sun all the time - it should work on the engine cover. ... I did about 5 coats of paint and the color is almost a perfect match for our Av's!!
I've used that paint on some old lawn chairs. Never thought about using it on the engine plastic. I'd have to practice on something else first.....somehow I ALWAYS end up with runs. Maybe those chairs need another couple of coats....of red .
