Turtle Wax ICE Synthetic Wax/Polish
« on: May 26, 2008, 09:24:25 AM »
Has anyone else used this product yet?  I finally ran out of my supply of Meguiar's NXT Wax, so while at Advance Auto Parts the other day I broke down and bought a bottle of the Turtle Wac ICE Synthetic Wax.  All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!  This stuff is unbelievable!!  Goes on extremely easy, leaves no white residue whatsoever, and can even be used on exterior plastic (i.e.: Cladding).  I have to finish doing the cladding today so I will try to post some before and after pics later!!  If anyone was "on the fence" in regards to possibly using this product, all I can say now after using it myself is go ahead and try it.  I don't think you will be disappointed!!

I really like their detail spray - use that regularly...   Luckily don't need anything for the cladding - that refinish restorer took care of that!

I love the way it doesn't turn all white on the plastic like a lot of waxes do.  A VERY good point for someone like me who gets, ummm, a little enthusiastic when waxing?!!  2funny

Attached are a few pics of the recently detailed Av and Cladding.  The first two pics show the difference between where the Turtle Wax Ice was applied to the Cladding and where it wasn't.  The last pic is the finished Av after the Turtle Wax ICE wipedown!!!  :crazydance: :dans2:

Is that one of the pups with mamma?  Sure got big quick   Looks like she's training him right!!

I never really liked WBH's, but after seeing yours, Blue's, and several others on here - I'm getting to like them more.  Sleek looking.  Specially when they are all shined up.  My son and Stepson both have one now too..

Just a little  :jacked: here, but has anyone used the ice liquid clay bar as well?  I have been waiting to run out of the stuff I have been using on my cladding to buy the wax, but I have seen the clay bar in stores too and was wondering if that worked as well as a regular clay bar...

Kind of wondering that myself, Freebie!  I've currently got a brand new Meguiar's Clay Bar Kit that I haven't even used yet.  banghead1

I have some, but haven't tried it.  Used the Meguiar's and really liked the first half of the truck I did before I dropped the dang thing in street.  Had to throw it out.   I'm hoping this will work as well.  Just need to find the time to mess with it.  I'll let you know what happens.

I tried this on my Impala and didn't like the shine it left. I just didn't seem as deep as the Meguires that I normally use. I know this is usually just a car I drive on brite sunny days but I end up giving it to my next door neighbor for his Denali and went back to the Maguires on the Av, Impala and now the wifes new car.

I just finished with the ICE on the Av. I think it turned out pretty good. The wife usually just takes it through the drive thru wash and wax but I hate the haze it leaves and I usually end up using detailer all over but today I was just dinking around outside and decided I'd throw a coat on the Av. What do you think?
